Tranceport have been hard at work recording a new album. All of the basic tracks have been done and several tracks have been edited into a more or less complete state. Some further overdubs are waiting to be done as well as the final editing and compilation. Once again, it's a bit of a departure for the band and has a lot in common with the last M.A.O. album "Living with Tuppicco". There are ambient tracks as well as old style sequencer based tracks but the emphasis is on live playing. The difference between this album and "Way Beyond" is that digital editing will really begin to make a difference. As always Tranceport are making best use of available technology to bring you a different listening experience. Expect a realease for this one sometime in the early summer.
Peri Urban is in the very early stages of recording tracks for his new album. It's too early to say how the album will sound but it's likely to be closer to "Turtle" than "Static".
At last there are signs of an Alan Martin solo CD! Those of you who have followed us since our cassette only days will remember Alans brilliant solo cassettes. Sadly, these are unlikely to be made available on CD due to the poor state of the master tapes. However, Alan recently made some recordings, featuring his brother David on E-Bow guitar, which Peri Urban is in the process of producing and editing together. The album should be available early summer.
